Garlic Bread

Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, baguette, sourdough, or any type you prefer)

  • 4 tbsp softened butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp garlic paste)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • Salt to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Heat:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or set a pan on the stove over medium-low heat.

  2. Make the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and evenly combined.

  3. Spread the Mixture:
Use a spoon or butter knife to spread the garlic butter evenly across one side of each slice of bread. Make sure the butter reaches the corners for maximum flavor.

  4. Toast or Bake:

    • Oven: Place the slices on a baking tray and bake for 5–7 minutes or until the edges turn golden and crispy.

    • Pan: Heat on low and toast each slice until crisp and lightly browned.

  5. Serve:
Enjoy hot! Garlic bread pairs well with pasta, soup, or can be eaten as a snack.

Tips & Variations

  • Add grated cheese (mozzarella, parmesan) on top before baking for cheesy garlic bread.

  • Mix in oregano or chili flakes for extra flavor.

  • Use olive oil instead of butter for a lighter version.

2. French Toast — Full Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (thick slices work best)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth and well combined.

  2. Dip the Bread:
Submerge each slice of bread in the mixture, letting it soak for 3–5 seconds on each side. Make sure the bread absorbs the liquid but does not fall apart.

  3. Heat the Pan:
Melt a small amount of butter or heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat.

  4. Cook the Toast:
Fry the soaked bread slices for 2–3 minutes per side, or until they turn golden brown with slightly crisp edges.

  5. Serve:
Serve warm with honey, syrup, powdered sugar, fruit, or chocolate.

Tips & Variations

  • Use brioche or challah for richer French toast.

  • Add nutmeg to the egg mixture for deeper flavor.
